Oh my god, I thought my brain was going to explode. XD;;; But gaaah, I don't care anymore! It's done! x___x Please fullview ...

For 's FF wallpaper contest (contest and voting info here: [link] ), it's summoner Isaaru and the thunder aeon Ixion from Final Fantasy X. I've always associated each summoner with the first aeon/temple you see them at - hence, Yuna = Valefor, Donna = Ifrit and Isaaru = Ixion. Although he never uses one in the game. :PPP IMO Ixion has the best summon design in X. ^^ But heck if I'm going to try to draw it again. xP Isaaru's robe texture is a chiyogami overlay; everything else is painted. D=

I doubt I'll win because there are tons of really awesome entries o_o and lots of characters that are far more popular. XD;; Regardless, I really enjoyed working on this; I feel like I really pushed myself. Plus, this is a concept I've always wanted to draw, and I finally found an opportunity to force myself to do it. ^^; Hope you all like XD;

Thunderwall by ~maiji. The piece itself takes a character from the FFX story that is not as well known as the others but makes him shine brighter than the famous characters, and the lighting is fantastic! I love the way Maiji has managed to capture the shadow effects on the Aeon and Summoner so well without losing color or intensity of the piece, and detail on the robe is amazing. She has fantastic artwork in many different styles in her gallery, but this is the real piece that caught my eye. (Suggested by ~Predator9555 and Featured by `jgfeller)
